Holidaze and other various info…

This holiday weekend was pretty decent. J and I went to see Hancock on Thurday night and then on July 4th we went to see Wanted. We didn’t check out the fireworks, but I did get to see a few that were being set off in the neighborhood. I absolutely LOVE fireworks, but J is not that impressed by them. I gave in and axed going to see the local ones (they aren’t that great). We love going to the movies anyways and we had a great time.  Friday morning I went to my parents house and we had a lunch cookout.  I got in the pool with Bossy and Matt.  We stayed in there for a while and then got out of the pool and chilled in the house for a while.  I left there and headed home to get ready for another cookout at my Brandi’s (my bff)  house.  J went with me to that cookout and then we left for the movies.

Saturday was all about UFC. We are die hard fans and always watch the pay-per-views at Phat Philly’s (one of our favorite restaurants). I was all excited about the championship fight. One of my favorite fighters, Rampage, was defending his title. I was so disappointed in the judges scoring of the fight. They picked the challenger, Forrest, as the winner. I totally disagree. I only had Forrest winning 2 of the 5 rounds. He definitely didn’t whoop Rampages ass, that’s for sure. I am still pretty much in denial that Rampage lost that fight.

Anyways, moving on, because I am pretty bitter about the outcome of that fight!

Sunday was a chill day and I’m off today because of a eye doctor appointment. I have just watched my Y&R and am going to hit the gym as soon as I’m done posting this. I did get a nice 30 minute bike ride in yesterday. I found a nice neighborhood to ride in. It’s a decent ride, some various levels to go through. Muay Thai is tonight (YEA!!) so I will definitely get a great workout from that. My martial arts school was closed all last week so I’ve had a week off from Muay Thai and I have missed class so much. Tonight is probably going to be killer too!

I decided to get a pair of glasses this year (I usually wear contacts only).  I picked out a really cute pair of Cynthia Rowley frames.  I love them so much!!  I might actually wear these glasses out in public….lol.  I still have a couple of boxes of contacts that I am going to trade in for my new prescription….my eyes have actually improved since my visit last year!!  That was pretty exciting news.

Well, I am going to get off of this laptop and get my hiney over to the gym and run for a bit. Hope everyone had a fun 4th!!!
